Back to MG Road

For dinner tonight, the Tibetan translators and western scientists went back to MG Road.  Getting to MG Road from the New Castle Hotel is an interesting experience.  To get there, we walked about 100 yards to a taxi stand.  At the taxi stand, cars stop to drop off and pick up new passengers.  The car is shared by new and old passengers depending on how much space is available in the car.  So, the eight of us needed three cars to get us up to MG Road.  The cost of a shared taxi ride is only 10 rupees (17 cents)/person.  After we arrived at MG Road, we found a restaurant that was closed last night.  It turned out that the restaurant was a good choice.  My butter masala paneer was delicious!

  1. An adventure as always! At least you weren't in a wheeled cart.
